According to the PRO for the Club Music Video Awards [CMVAs] Victoria Nyanzi, response to the voting is very positive. She further says that the “CMVA is a reflection of what Ugandans and professionals in the entertainment industry think about their artists. It is therefore important to encourage more people to participate in noticing and rewarding those who are growing our industry,” she said, “to achieve this we need to create more hype, continue engaging more influencers and appreciate the participants,” Nyanzi added.
Starting today, the CMVA team will be awarding different gifts ranging from VIP tickets to the award ceremony, plenty of beer to many other goodies to voters in select bars starting from Club Play tonight.
The CMVA nominations were announced close to 2 weeks ago at Serena Hotel and voting started that very evening. However, new dynamics have been put in place in a bid to get more voting for their favorite artists.
The CMVAs are accolades awarded to Ugandan artistes for their exceptional music videos in the hope that they will cultivate more innovation in the production of video content, thus enhancing the quality of videos being produced in Uganda. The CMVAs solely focus on the music videos of local artistes and not audio records.
