I woke to voices in my head,
whispering, lingering, wandering mourns,
They sounded like a distant thunder clap,
brief but clear.
Turning to my side,
my pillow I met, cold!
soaked in sweat.
She wasn’t by my side,
she left a month ago, with all my sleep,
my peace of mind, my thoughts.
sweating still, tears climbed down my eye lashes,
limping, limpering feelings,
