Paused dreams

In a land of roses and scents
We lay, silent beside each other,
To the skies we faced,
Counting stars and minutes,
As clouds passed as by,
The breeze became sweet,
The flowers bloomed,
A lovely carpet they left,
Muti coloured with love and beauty,
Across the valley in which we lay.
I wish to continue,
But not until I sleep again,
For mine is a paused dream.
